Founded in 2005, the Houston Dynamo soccer team has come a long way in a sport tragically ignored in America. The Dynamo first beat Chicago in the Eastern League knockout round, then downed the powerhouse Kansas City Sporting in the semi-finals, both by scores of 2-1. And now they hold a 3-1 lead over D.C. in the Eastern League championship, before they can advance to the MLS Cup finals. Houston won the cup in back-to-back years in 2006 and 2007. Perhaps they can add another championship to their dynasty-in-the-making? Stay tuned to the MLS play offs and LetsGoSports to find out! Their determination game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 18. The winner will face either the popular Seattle Sounders or Los Angeles Galaxy for the MLS Cup championship.
