Don't worry. This is as close to impossible as you can really get. But head coach Bill Belichik could really use former assistant Eric Mangini. Yes, the same Mangini that revealed the Patriot's videotaping other team's practices. Remember? Their "undefeated" season? Anyway, although Mangini's return is unlikely, he sure could do some adjusting to the Patriot's secondary. New England's pass defense was one of the worst to reach the Super Bowl last season. And if your a Seahawks fan, you'll remember the love of how your rookie QB Russel Wilson torched NE for 6 plays of 20 yards or longer, including the game-winning touchdown in Week 6.  So even at 4-3, atop the AFC East, New England can really use the boost. Last year was an exception. The Pats lost to high-quality teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and eventual champion New York Giants in the first half of the year. So even though they put up some unattractive numbers last year, they fell to the likes of Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, and Philip Rivers. But this year the only dangerous QBs faced so far have been Peyton Manning and Joe Flacco. The only even considerably threatening one left is Matt Schaub. In other words, the Patriots secondary is putting up poor numbers, but against lesser teams this year. What happens if they have to go up against some serious competition? So that is why having Eric Mangini back could provide help to New England, before it's too late.
