Well, we're half way through the 2012-13 NFL season, and it's been more or less what people have expected, depending on who you're rooting for. Here's a little summary of the better, or worse, teams in the NFL thus far.

Top 5 teams:
 1. Atlanta Falcons. Undefeated in their first seven games with a +71 point differential, they have a good QB in Matt Ryan and should continue to do well, and perhaps go further in the playoffs than last year when they were knocked out the first round by eventual champions, New York Giants.

  2. Houston Texans. At 6-1, the Texans can count on RB Arian Foster to make a statement against  Buffalo this Sunday, who are last in the league in rushing defense. So far Foster has 659 yards rushing on 168 attempts and nine touchdowns. J.J. Watt powers the defense with 34 tackles, 7 1/2 tackles for a loss, and two fumble recoveries.

 3. Indianapolis Colts. Rookie Andrew Luck has shown  hope for Indy in wins over the Packers and Vikings. Winners of three out of their last four games, they face three teams with winning records in their next nine.

4. Denver Broncos. With veteran Peyton Manning leading the way, the Broncos can expect another return to the playoffs with an easy schedule consisting of only one playoff team from last year.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite some injuries and struggles at the beginning of the season, the Steelers are starting to look like their old selves again in their last two games. QB Ben Roethlisberger and TE Heath Miller lead the way.
